Chinese Cemetery in French Camp, Stockton

Confucius Church of Stockton is raising funds to renovate portions of the Chinese Cemetery in French Camp, Stockton, including widening roadways, replacing the cemetery's entrance gate and relandscaping.

BART's APA Month Discounts

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) has partnered with businesses and community organizations to celebrate APA Heritage Month. They're offering discounts in May & June throughout the Bay Area at pearl tea shops, restaurants, the SF Opera and the Asian Art Museum. Asian/Pacific American Association for Advancement (4A-SFBAC) will celebrate Asian Pacific American History Month with renowned historian Him Mark Lai and filmmaker Evan Leong (Him Mark Lai: The People's Historian) on Monday, May 16 at 11:30 AM at 795 Folsom Street.

Through slides and photographs, Connie will tell the story of six Chinese American and Caucasian families who owned and worked together to preserve Japanese gardens in the San Francisco Bay Area during the 1960s.

William Wong: "Oakland's Chinatown" Benefit for OACC

William Wong, journalist and author of Images of America: Oakland's Chinatown, will present a special slideshow featuring three of the Oakland Chinese Americans on Saturday, May 14 at 2:30 PM at Barnes & Noble in Jack London Square, Oakland.

This event is a benefit for the Oakland Asian Cultural Center, which will receive proceeds from the sale of Oakland's Chinatown at Barnes & Noble that day.
