National Asian American Telecommunications Fund's
2005 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
NAATA's Media Fund seeks project proposals from independent media producers that convey the richness and diversity of the Asian Pacific American experience. Recently funded projects include THE GRACE LEE PROJECT by Grace Lee, SPOTLIGHTING by Josh Diamond & Justin Lin, and SUMMER OF THE SERPENT by Kimi Takesue. We offer the two following funding initiatives:
OPEN DOOR COMPLETION FUND (rolling application process)
- works intended for public television broadcast in the final stages of post-production
- a rough cut must be submitted with the application
OPEN CALL FOR PRODUCTION FUNDS (2005 deadline has now passed)
- works intended for public television broadcast in any stage of production or post-production (script development or R&D projects not considered)
- new 2006 deadline tba
* Only one proposal per applicant
* Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be citizens of legal residents of the U.S.
* All awarded projects must have a Fiscal Sponsor, a non-profit 501(c)(3) IRS tax-exempt entity
