CHSA Museum volunteers and members had the opportunity to march in the 2012 San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade with Wells Fargo and the Chinatown Community Development Center (CCDC). Special banners featuring the Jake Lee Heritage Paintings were also part of the parade procession. Costumes were loaned to us courtesy of the Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown. We are also greatly appreciative to Ben Fong-Torres, who joined us earlier in the day to speak about his memoir, for mentioning CHSA during KTVU’s broadcast of the Chinese New Year Parade.
Special thanks to the following volunteers and members, who were part of the contingent representing CHSA aboard the Wells Fargo float: Marty Valentine, Kim DeVillier, Pansy Lam, William Tong, Mina Fung, Kristina Nagales, Gus Beltran, Mark Nagales, and Amy Lam
