A Woman of Historic Firsts: Tye Leung Schulze @ SF Public Library Merced Branch

January 23, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

Once again, SFPL and Ferocious Lotus Theatre Company are presenting my one-woman show about Tye Leung Schulze, the first Chinese-American woman to vote and all-around awesome women’s activist who protected women against forced prostitution in Chinatown in the early 1900s. This presentation is planned by SFPL to honor National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

It’s a short 20-minute show followed by a 40-minute talkback and slide show with Tye’s grandson Ted Schulze. Admission is free!

Please come to be entertained and informed!
