Chinese in Napa Valley Film Screening

CHSA is excited to welcome back author John McCormick and filmmaker filmmaker Jeff Hamilton for a screening of the documentary Chinese in Napa Valley, based on McCormick’s book that sheds light on the Chinese workers who, in the late 19th century, played a central role in Napa Valley’s vineyards, farms, railroads, and local businesses, yet were largely written out of its history.

Join CHSA for a viewing of this film at the museum and an in-depth discussion with McCormick, Hamilton, and historian Connie Young Yu. This screening offers a special early opportunity to see the film before its wider release.
