Connie Young Yu’s Patchwork History

May 8, 2010 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

As part of CHSA’s Second Saturday series of events & performances at the museum, we are proud to present Historian Connie Young Yu this Saturday, May 8th at 2 pm.

Young Yu will talk about her family’s immigration story as reflected in history through the passage of the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act, the Angel Island Immigration Station, and the passage of the 1965 Immigration Act.

Personal, informative, and enlightening, Young Yu’s talk will shed light on little-known eras of Chinese American history.

At 3 pm, a special San Francisco Walking Tour will be conducted by Artist-in-Residence Charlie Chin.

Young Yu’s talk is free with museum admission, while the walking tour is $15 for the public/$10 for CHSA members.
