EMPIRE OF SILVER, starring Aaron Kwok and Tielin Zhang, won 18 international awards world-wide, including “Best Director” at Shanghai International Film Festival. Join Director Christina Yao the week after her films opens in San Francisco as she shares her insights on making a film that spans a huge landscape with deep historical resonance.
Christina will show how the movie was made on real location in 4 provinces in China and how the post-production process helped to transform the landscape to historical accuracy and constructed a world recalling the splendid grandeur of the Imperial China.
This special presentation will also include a selection of original costumes & authentic antiques from the film.
