In the Choy Gallery
Since 2011, CHSA has been proud to share the remarkable watercolors of Jake Lee. We are happy to announce that several of his works from the CHSA Museum Collection are now on loan to the landmark exhibition, Chinese American: Exclusion/Inclusion at the New York Historical Society. We are fortunate to exhibit several Jake Lee paintings acquired recently: Chinatown Rooftops, Laundry Hanging from Building, and Weaverville Joss House. We are also pleased to include a bust of Jake Lee by sculptor Howard Lazar and videos featuring Mr. Lee that originally aired on public access television in 1983.
